Blood Wood, also called Satine(scientific name: Brosimumrubescensand B. paraense), has a bright red heartwood. It sapwood is pale yellow and well defined. Its texture is fine, its luster is good, and its grain is straight or somewhat interlocked.
Blood wood is commonly found in tropical South America. It is extremely durable and resistant to insect attack.

Workability :
